H&M blazer & skirt, Forever 21 top, Mango heels

There's a reason classic pieces, such as blazers, never go out of style. A blazer is a staple item; a go-to piece that can shape up any look. It is the versatility of a blazer that makes it a great addition to any closet. Whether it's pairing one with a skirt to amp up your professional appeal, or layering one over a white tee with jeans for a sophisticated off-duty look, it is the perfect way to take an outfit to the next level. 

When I get dressed in the morning, I usually grab a staple piece that matches my mood that day, and then style around that item. Since I was feeling a little bit girly, I grabbed this skirt that has a great gold zipper detailing. Since I was heading to the city, I wanted to look a little bit more professional, but still chic. To do this, I added this beautiful green blazer with roused sleeves, and voilà! I hope you guys like this look as much as I do.
