The Top Three NYFW SS19 Trends On The Runway
Twice a year, New York City is populated with iconic designers and members of the fashion industry from all over the world. New York streets are littered with models’ post-runway looks, street style photographers and bloggers working the latest runway pieces. Sadly, I did not attend. However, I was able to catch a glimpse of the latest runway looks online. Here are some my NYFW SS19 trends to keep an eye out for next season.
Neon, neon, neon
Bright colors are here and are ready to stay—as showcased on popular catwalks this SS19 season. Designers such as Prabal Gurung, Carolina Herrera, Brandon Maxwell, Tibi and more flaunted beautiful, bright colors and patterns. Get ready to add some vibrance to your wardrobe.
2. Oversized Bags
Tiny, nonfunctional, how-am-i-supposed-to-fit-anything-in-this bags are no more according to the iconic designers Self Portrait and Proenza Schouler. Instead, models were equipped with large, functional, wow-is-it-possible-to-have-this-much-room bags. An interesting twist, for sure.
3. Patchwork
Last, but certainly not least: patchwork! This is probably my favorite trend or style exhibited on the runway. To me, it’s genius to combine different designs, colors and textures in order to elevate each piece. It’s safe to say I am obsessed!
Which trend/show was your favorite? Let me know!
