A Little Black Dress With A Sustainable Twist

DSC_1197.JPG

As we all know, fast fashion is something that has been around for quite some time. It’s typically the easier option to choose when shopping as it’s (usually) affordable and accessible with new styles being introduced frequently. However, just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s the right option. While my wardrobe is not 100% free of fast fashion purchases, I’m striving to exclusively support ethical and slow fashion companies. As you may know, one of my favorite ways to shop sustainably is thrifting.

There are a ton of advantages to shopping secondhand. It’s equally affordable, is a great way to find unique pieces, and is way better for the planet. I love shopping at my local Goodwill and Savers, however, when I’m feeling extra lazy, I head to ThredUP. This is not a sponsored post whatsoever, I just simply love ThredUP’s mission and what it stands for. Combating textile waste and fast fashion, ThredUp is essentially a huge online thrift store. I’ve found so many great pieces there, including this dress! It’s truly a win-win all around. I definitely recommend checking it out. Let me know what you find!
